Alexis approached me at the beginning of this year to work on a smaller project to complement her current brand. We hit it off right away as she's a fellow Hoosier and her aesthetic style is on point (also, would someone please explain to me what on point is? I feel like an old person.) Our conversation started to snowball into a larger one about her brand and website as a whole and how parts of it weren't working for her anymore. So, in May, we moved forward with a fresh brand strategy & design!
There were several touches that make this brand especially unique to Alexis and tie together to create a story. The first is the logo. Alexis wanted to incorporate her handwriting in some way, so she created several versions of her signature and I scanned it into Illustrator and used that as the basis of the 'Lex' behind the logo. I also chose a handwriting font that is very similar to her handwriting for other complementary touches throughout her brand.
Then, my sister Lydia illustrated several gorgeous monochrome icons of Alexis's home, her dog Lincoln, and other things that are special to her in order to complete the brand. It was so fun to have a sister in on this project!
I'm also excited to share the beautiful new magazine we designed for her clients. Alexis's couples definitely get the an amazing experience and I'm so honored that we got to work together on building her a brand that will take her business in the right direction.
