Three Girls Create has been up and running for a bit now, so I wanted to share an article about how it came about and the branding behind it. If you haven’t visited it, the blog is a collaborative cooking/lifestyle blog by my sisters and myself.
I actually had the idea for this blog about 6 years ago, but the timing wasn’t right and I decided to just sit on the idea.
Earlier this spring we were talking about how many recipes we wanted to share, and how it seemed like the right time so we revisted the idea and decided now was the time.
I chose a more vibrant color palette on purpose. It seems like a lot of lifestyle blogs have super muted color palettes these days and we wanted to doing something a little more cheerful and alive. It also reflects the dynamic of us three as sisters when we are together. It’s balanced out by a soft, calm chambray color–think the Williams Sonoma aprons we love so much.
The post formatting looks a little bit like a journal entry or recipe card, which ties in nicely with the colorful palette and ever so slight nod to vintage.
We’d love it if you hopped on over and said hi! You can visit the site here.
